Tech professionals are speaking up, and All India Professionals’ Congress is uniting their voices into a movement of dignity, justice, and hope for India’s tech workforce.
All India Professionals’ Congress Commits:
Turning Tech Workers’ Silent Crisis into a Collective Movement for Change

AI and automation are displacing jobs, today in thousands, tomorrow in lakhs. This is not just a tech sector issue, but a looming social crisis, with families reeling from sudden job loss. Who will ensure dignity in this transition? Where are the safety nets for professionals and their households? Tech workers are speaking up, and AIPC is listening.
The tech industry, once a beacon of opportunity, is now a source of instability for too many. As in every moment of adversity, the Congress Party, through the All India Professionals’ Congress, stands with the people.
Together, we are launching the Together for Tech Lives campaign to safeguard dignity, stability, and futures for every tech professional. No one should face this battle alone.

How Together For Tech Lives Works
We Listen
Through Listening Circles nationwide, with professionals, families, experts, and employers, we hear your stories and struggles.
WE Empower
By creating a Tech Workforce Dignity Charter, we push for fairness, stability, and respect for every professional.
We Drive Change Together
Online and offline, we challenge how layoffs and dignity at work are understood, turning voices into collective action.

Here are the brave voices from the Tech Workforce
The anguish is not that people were laid off, but the way it was done. I have a home loan as well but more than salary and benefits, work gave me solace. Until I don't get that, there will be unrest in my life
It came as an unexpected shock, the worst part is I'm 57 years old and a few years away from my planned retirement. It feels like I'm being treated as a 2-3 year employee being fired, which I don't like, it's just strange.
I began my role on June 2, 2025, but due to internal restructuring, I was laid off on August 1, 2025.
I'm sharing this update in hopes it reaches someone who can help. I was impacted by a company-wide layoff, just two months into my role."
One year after my tech layoff, I've realized my identity is bigger than my job title. The initial shock and grief quickly gave way to a powerful lesson about self-worth beyond a career.
It's been two and a half months since my position was impacted due to downsizing. The moment I read the email, I couldn't process it. It drove my emotions in every possible way, but I had immense support from my family and network.

The hardest part was not losing the job. But the confusion before and after it. Also, it was realising six years of loyalty meant nothing when the company no longer needs you.

What the movement is
A call to see layoffs as a humanitarian crisis, not just a career setback
A collaborative fight uniting professionals, families, leaders, companies and policymakers for dignity, stability, and justice for the IT Workforce
A vision to embed fairness and opportunity in India’s growth story
What the movement is not
Not a blame game against companies or individuals
Not a closed-door or one-sided solution, not a top-down mandate without listening
Not a fleeting trend or a temporary fix to a deep crisis

The hardest part was not losing the job. But the confusion before and after it. Also, it was realising six years of loyalty meant nothing when the company no longer needs you.
